Job Overview:
 As the Production Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of our high-tech camera systems. You will manage all aspects of inventory, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in improving production processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in manufacturing and electronics, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • High-Level Inventory Management:
     Manage inventory at a high level, working with the Inventory Assistant to track, forecast, and reconcile materials. Ensure effective inventory control to prevent shortages or overstock and support production goals.
  • Production Planning & Execution:
     Lead production planning and scheduling to meet demand while managing capacity and material availability. Own the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all sell-able items, ensuring accuracy and updates as necessary.
  • Oversee Board Fabrication & SMT Process:
     Lead and manage the Board Fabrication and Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) processes, ensuring quality control and efficiency. Conduct weekly failure analysis meetings to identify and address any issues.
  • RMA Oversight:
     Supervise the intake, prioritization, and shipment of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) handled by the Repair Technician. Track failure trends in RMAs and communicate learning's to the production and engineering teams for continuous improvement.
  • Team Management:
     Manage a team of assemblers and technicians, providing leadership, training, and support. Foster a productive and safe work environment while ensuring the team meets production targets and quality standards.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Control:
     Continuously evaluate production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Implement quality control procedures and collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to integrate new designs and technologies into production.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in production management, preferably in electronics manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Board Fabrication, SMT processes, and quality control.
  • Experience in managing inventory and BOMs with a focus on strategic planning and process optimization.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward meeting production goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
 
Job Requirements

 
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 7 years of experience in Production Management capacity
  • 5 years of experience in electrical product manufacturing with exposure to SMT, PCB or optics


Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in production management, preferably in electronics manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Board Fabrication, SMT processes, and quality control.
  • Experience in managing inventory and BOMs with a focus on strategic planning and process optimization.
