ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a flex schedule contract-to-direct hire position available 

Senior Advanced Software Engineer 

$76.00-$80.00 per hour DOE
US Citizenship is required
Clearance is NOT required at the time of hire

We are seeking a Senior Advanced Software Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will play a key part in analyzing software requirements, conducting research and design, and developing innovative software solutions and tools. Your expertise will be crucial in creating new products and enhancing existing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze software requirements to guide design and development.
  • Engage in research and design initiatives to foster innovation.
  • Develop, test, and refine software applications and tools.

Required Skills:

  • Software Defined Radio (SDR) Experience: Preferably with Ettus USRP.
  • Linux Proficiency: Experience with Ubuntu 22.04.
  • Software Containers: Familiarity with containerization technologies.
  • On-site Requirement: This position requires on-site support in our Scottsdale, AZ facility.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with RF test equipment, such as signal analyzers and channel emulators.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, particularly in advanced development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree: Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in applying technical standards and methodologies to tackle complex challenges.
