Director of Information Technology Security
Candidates must possess a strong leadership background, as this role will involve leading the global IT/Security team. A background in manufacturing is required, along with proven experience in ITAR and DFAR compliance, as well as familiarity with NIST and CMMC guidelines.
The position offers a competitive salary with a performance bonus of up to 25%, a full benefits package including RSUs and 401K, and 30% travel, mostly US travel.
Candidates should have a strong leadership background as you will be leading the globe IT/Security Team. Manufacturing background is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and lead global security strategy.
- Build a security-conscious culture and mentor a team of ~30 security professionals.
Incident Response & Threat Management:
- Manage the incident response program and improve it through data analytics and post-incident reviews.
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Implement security policies aligned with regulations (e.g., ITAR US Government compliance, DFAR, ITAR, and CMMC).
- Stay current on security threats and compliance requirements.
Technology & Innovation:
- Maximize current technologies and introduce new solutions to enhance security.
Risk Management & Governance:
- Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with DFAR, NIST, CMMC guidelines.
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and keep the CIO/CISO informed of security trends.
Requirements:
- Expertise in data management, IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, HIPAA).
- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences, including executives.
- U.S. Government compliance experience (DFAR, CMMC).
- 15+ years of IT experience, 5+ years in senior-level IT security leadership (manufacturing).
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
The Director of Information Security is responsible for leading and managing a company's security strategy and ensuring the protection of its data and systems. This involves overseeing security operations, incident responses, and ensuring compliance with global regulations (including for the Aerospace and Defense sector). The role requires a strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to lead a team in protecting the organization from cyber threats.
