Description
ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have 4 long-term contract or contract to hire positions.
Senior Principal Engineers
Hybrid or Flex schedule coming in weekly
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Citizen Secret clearance after hire if one is not already held.
Skills:
- Python / Java programming languages
- Understanding of DevOps principles: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code
- Familiar with Scaled Agile methodology and its best practice
- Security knowledge: Familiarity with security best practices, risk, compliance & vulnerability management, encryption & PKI, incident response, auditing and monitoring
- Programming and scripting: Proficiency and strong knowledge in languages such as Python, Linux/UNIX, YAML, and JSON.
- Cloud platforms: Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect strongly preferred) and its services (including fundamental AWS networking), knowing Azure is a plus
- Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of API Design, testing, development and management
- Collaboration and communication: Ability to communicate and work effectively with development team members, operations, and security teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Documentation: Well versed in generating documentation and sharing important knowledge
- Artificial Intelligence: Well versed in prompt engineering and utilizing popular AI tools to accelerate workload

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Python / Java programming languages.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with Scaled Agile methodology and its best practices.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with security best practices, risk, compliance & vulnerability management, encryption & PKI, incident response, auditing, and monitoring.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in languages such as Python, Linux/UNIX, YAML, and JSON.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Master's Degree.
- Agile experience.
- Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect ) and its services (including fundamental AWS networking), and knowledge of Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
