Acara Solutions is seeking a General Manager / Business Development candidate to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity available in Columbus MS
Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, financial performance, and strategic growth initiatives. This role involves leadership of all business units, ensuring DOT and MSHA compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of managing budgets, building client relationships, and driving new business development in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all operational functions, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Develop and execute business growth strategies and identify new client opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to meet profitability goals.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with DOT and MSHA regulations and company policies.
- Build and maintain strong client, vendor, and partner relationships.
- Prepare and present performance reports to ownership and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum experience in general management, logistics, or related industry.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to grow revenue and improve operational efficiency.
